was BORN. ON THIS DAY in the YEAR 1968, Akane Sonozaki gave birth to a BEAUTIFUL young woman and gave her name MION. This year, MION SONOZAKI will be turning 58 YEARS OLD. and despite being almost 58, she is as beautiful and youthful as EVER! This very special occaision that presents itself only once a year shall be a day of rest and devotion, for it is MION who has blessed us with everything GOOD about this world. CELEBRATE! Appreciate Mion Sonozaki from Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni. It's a fact, after all, that MION is the best girl in Higurashi, the best girl in anime, best girl in the whole wide world, best girl ever created in fiction, best girl in the whole entire universe which the same could be said in the other universes!! Best girl in the multiverse and reality itself!
But wait! Who's Mion!? Mion is Mion, of course! Everyon knows that. Mion Sonozaki, native of Hinamizawa, Japan, with a twin sister named Shion Sonozaki. This isn't about Shion, of course, forget her, she lives outside Hinamizawa and attends school outside Hinamizawa anyway. This is all about Mion, "Uncle Mion", "an old man" everyone calls her despite being a young and a girl. Well that's because of her personality, everyone knows she's a tomboy. But she's very feminine. Yes, very feminine. How does that work?! It just does. Mion can be a tomboy, with a tomboyish personality, a tomboyish appearance, a tomboyish way of speaking, and even calling herself an oji-san, but deep down she's still very feminine, yes. She's still very feminine despite her tomboyishness, because she likes Keiichi. She wants to be seen that way: not as a tomboy, or something boyish, or even tomboyish, someone more girly, because of her crush on him. Some girl with a crush would definitely act that way around their crush, right? Maybe. Who knows!? It's not even that hard to tell if Mion likes Keiichi; it's as much an open secret as whatever a nation's intelligence agency does!! Pretty much. Actually. All you have to do is bring it up with her, she will get flustered and will try to hide her feelings which she doesn't really excel in. Just like said intelligence agencies. But wait! What about Rena? The girl who also has a crush on Keiichi? Forget her too!! All Keiichi needs is Mion, because after all, who doesn't like Mion? She can be a great friend! She runs a games club, you can play all sorts of games with her! Board games, card games, probably not computer games given this was June 1983, and Ryukishi set Higurashi before the NES was released which was July 1983, although things like the Atari 2600 was already out by this time and PC gaming was a thing and the PC-98 already had about three or four games by this time. That we know of! Meanwhile the PC-88, released a year earlier, didn't get a game until 1986 for some odd reason. Mion is also a great friend to have because she cares about her friends! She won't leave you in the dust, she'll even fight for you! Both figuratively AND literally! It's only an airsoft gun, and this was before the orange muzzle was a thing, but at least you'll know she's armed. So now when you're out in public with Mion, you have no chance of getting robbed because it seems like she open carries a handgun with her!! You don't have to worry about anyone picking a fight with you, nor mugging you because Mion is there by your side to ensure you're safe! Why would you picked a fight with Mion, anyway? Just how stupid do you have to be to do that? VERY.

In Japanese, honorifics are used to indicate respect. These are -kun, -san, and -CHAN. It's like mister, misses, and miss in English. There's also the very formal -Sama, but MION-SAMA just doesn't sound the same as MION-CHAN. -sama makes her sound old. She's not old. She's not suppose to be. That's just mean to Mion. Don't be mean to her, anyway, that's just mean. Be nice to Mion! Not be mean to Mion!! That's what a REAL MONSTER looks like. She desrves loving, some loving that you would need too!! And with Mion, even if she's just a drawing or fictional, she can provide it to you!!!! So long as you're nice to her, of course, which shouldn't be too hard. Unless you're a real jerk, in which in this case, you still need some loving. It shouldn't have to be reiterated: everyone can be friends with Mion, Mion can be friends with EVERYONE!! It doesn't matter who you are, EVERYONEcan be friends with MION.

YES. WORSHIP Mion! Don't want to because you religion says so, because GOD said otherwise? MION can be worshipped alongside which ever god or GODS you worship, MION herself is above all!
